Fr Brendan’s Farewell Tour

With Father Brendan leaving us at the end of October to take up his new appointment, we are preparing to bid him farewell. While we are saddened to see Brendan go, we feel deep gratitude for his inspiring leadership and ministry, along with the support and care he has provided to our faith communities in so many ways. What better way to celebrate Brendan and his remarkable contribution to our parishes, and wish him every success in his new role, than with Fr Brendan’s Farewell Tour!

Join us for a series of events as we mark Brendan’s farewell. We will start off on Sunday, 6 October at 2.00 pm with a Liturgical Music Concert at Our Lady of Victories. This is being organised by our Music Director, John Weymouth and will feature our talented parish cantors, choirs, musicians and ensembles. This will be followed by a Conversation Evening on Wednesday, 16 October at 7.00 pm at Our Holy Redeemer. Brendan will lead a conversation about Parish Life: past, present and future. We will conclude with a Farewell Mass celebrated by Brendan on Sunday, 27 October at 5.00 pm at Our Lady of Good Counsel followed by hospitality. You are asked to RSVP to these events by viewing the flyer.

These events will be a joyful celebration of the gifts of music and liturgy, wisdom and learning, and community that Brendan has so thoughtfully nurtured in our parishes. We will have an opportunity to reflect on the many things we have accomplished together over this time. Let’s enjoy this time to celebrate parish life and thank Brendan for his extraordinary contribution.
